Art is pretty much my life. If I’m not taking photos, I’m painting. If I’m not painting, I’m cooking. If I’m not cooking, I’m probably singing. I really just love creating.

I love preserving memories, making something beautiful and making people happy. Whether that’s through a photograph, a painting, or something completely different, I just really love being able to create something that means something to someone.

Art was a huge part of my life growing up. It was therapeutic for me, and I always had a camera with me. I never actually thought I’d become a photographer though. I thought I’d be a painter... or an art teacher, which is what everyone told me I’d end up doing when I went to school for fine arts.

Oddly enough, I’ve taught art classes too, so I guess they weren’t wrong. lol

I’ve taken photographs my whole life. I have bins full of old photos that I’ve kept and gone through a million times. After losing my dad when I was young, those photographs became one of the ways I was able to remember him as I got older. I think that’s a big part of why photos always meant so much to me.

I’ve now been a photographer for almost 20 years. It’s given me an amazing career and a ton of adventures. I’ve photographed hundreds of families, weddings and special events. I’ve won awards that I'm super proud of, met so many people, traveled, built a business and did all of it while raising my two kids.

And after all these years, I’m still a photographer. I still love it. But I’ve also gotten back into the other parts of myself that I put aside for a long time.

I’m painting again. I’m taking commissions, creating wedding paintings, teaching, restoring old photographs and finding new ways to use all the random creative things I know how to do.

That’s why this is Meg Rose Creative now.

It’s not just photography anymore it all the creative things I love to do.
